Blue Exorcist is a Japanese dark fantasy television series written and illustrated by Kazue Kato. The series revolves around a teenager named Rin Okumura.
In the story, he discovers that he and his twin brother Yukio are the sons of Satan, born from a human woman. Rin also feels that he is an inheritor of Satan’s power.
When Satan kills their guardian, Rin decides to enroll at True Cross Academy. At the Academy, he becomes an exorcist under Yukio’s tutelage to defeat his father, Satan.
Blue Exorcist is an exciting television series based on a manga series of the same name. Since April 2009, the manga series has been serialized in Shueisha’s Jump Square magazine with twenty-seven tankobon volumes.

Blue Exorcist Plot
The story of Blue Exorcist revolves around a teenager named Rin Okumura. Rino and his younger twin brother, Yukio Okumura, was raised by an Exorcist, Shiro Fujimoto.
But one day, Rin reveals that he and his brother are the sons of Satan. Rin draws the demon-slaying sword Kurikara while witnessing Shiro dying to protect him.
The sword restrains his demonic powers. Not only does Rin control the demonic features like fangs and a tail, but he also restrains the power to ignite into blue flames.
Like his guardian, Rin wishes to become an Exorcist and defeat Satan. That’s why he decided to enroll at the prestigious True Cross Academy. The Academy is an Exorcist cram school that is actually the Japanese branch of the True cross order.
The True Cross order is an international organization dedicated to protecting Assiah from the Gehenna. Surprisingly, Rin finds out that Yukio is already a veteran Exorcist and is one of his teachers.
Thus, the series is all about Rin’s journey to becoming an exorcist accompanied by his brother and his fellow friends.

When is Blue Exorcist season 3 coming out?
On 7 January 2017, the second season Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga got released and continued till 25 March 2017. Between 4 April-4 October 2017, the two OVA episodes under Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga were released.
